Rain and irrigation
Lujan de Cuyo has only a yearly rain average of only 220mililiters, but the little rain we get it is compensate with the incomparable water from Andes thaw, well known around the world for its taste and chemical properties. In Finca la Promesa we know that the quantity and quality of the water received by the vines it is the key to develop a wine with excellence. This is the reason why we implanted a drip irrigation hose system, to be able to control the amount of water necessary for each plant of the vineyard. At the same time we created a four million liter water lake that allows us to not to be dependable on the thaws from the mountains.
Temperature
Located at 33º south latitude and 68º west longitude, the Finca has a yearly average temperature of 16,8ºC, very similar to the temperature from Burdeaux but with more extreme summers and winters. On the other side been situated at the range of the mountains, the temperature changes extremely between day and night allowing us to get the best from our grapes.
